From 26th August to 9th September 2023. Pro Rural conducted a training program for farmers and entrepreneurs on profitable livestock and poultry farming through scientific breeding, feeding, and management at the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Jalukie, Peren.
A total of 16 PASHU SAKHIS (animal caregivers) were thoroughly trained in line with a scientific package of practices and management at the college. The Course contained theoretical Sessions on topics such as housing for animals, feeding practices, selection of breeds & breeding methods, animal health care, and practical sessions at the farms.
The Residential Training Sessions were taught by Faculties of the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Jalukie/CAU Imphal in the College Campus with Dr. Imtiwati as the Team Leader, Dr. Shakuntala the Dean of Studies very proactively supported the training and preparation of the training manuals together with the domain specialists in the institution.
