(JRCPC) National Jute Board Scheme

The National Jute Board (NJB) sponsored a training program, on jute bag production under the scheme – Jute Resource Cum Production Center (JRCPC). Altogether 24 artisans learned to stitch market-ready jute bags. It benefited the artisans to acquire the skills of producing customized Jute Bags. The trainees have formed a production group under an SHG and continue to produce to market their products. The slogan (Go Green) to promote and preserve the environment has been one of the SDG goals and jute products are supportive of this goal. This initiative is helpful also in encouraging the use of biodegradable bags and lessening the use of plastic bags that pollute the environment
