Sustainable Agriculture

One of Pro Rural’s core missions is environmental sustainability. Thus, sustainable agriculture promotion is a very important component in addressing both poverty and climate change. We encourage Jhum farmers to diversify their livelihood activities from the labor-intensive uncertain and low-yielding Jhum practice toward cash crops, permanent agriculture, or livestock development.
