The inauguration of the Ambulance Mobile Health Service at DC Complex in New Peren marked a significant advancement in enhancing healthcare access for rural communities. The event was led by Mr. Pfokho John, Assistant Director of Pro Rural, and featured a welcome address from Mr. Imnanukshi Phom, Project Coordinator for Nsong Circle.

Mr. Paul Lokho, Director of Pro Rural, delivered an inspiring speech detailing the motivation behind the initiative. He shared a moving account of witnessing youths from Lalong village transporting a patient on a bamboo stretcher, which ignited the vision for this project.

Mr. Hairangum Pame, Chairman of Nsong village, expressed deep gratitude for the organization’s commitment to their village and for the provision of the much-needed ambulance service. Dr. L. Belho recounted his collaboration with the Director and their shared dedication to delivering essential healthcare to the villagers.

CASA Regional Coordinator, Mr. Leshehu Meru, highlighted the critical role of rural development, especially in the health sector. Dr. K. Limatula Ao, CMO of Peren, voiced her appreciation for the project and the doctors involved.

Chief Guest Mr. Hiazu Meru, DC of Peren District, expressed his honor in participating in the initiative and thanked the Pro Rural Organization for their ongoing support and services in Peren District. He commended the ambulance service concept for its potential to enable doctors and nurses to reach various villages and requested a follow-up report on treatments provided to ensure ongoing collaboration in rural healthcare efforts.

The event concluded with a prayer and the blessing of the ambulance by Mr. Kunamyi Neimi, Pastor of ZBC Jalukie, followed by a flag-off ceremony conducted by the Deputy Commissioner and Chief Medical Officer. This marked the official launch of the Ambulance Mobile Health Service, a crucial step forward in delivering essential healthcare services to the most remote communities and demonstrating a strong commitment to improving the health and well-being of rural populations.
